Lois Marrow

Lois Maxine Marrow passed from this life on Saturday December 12th at the age 87. She was born on April 7th, 1933 in Etna, OK to Floyd and Ina Venable.

On March 12th, 1955 Lois married Maurice Marrow and spent 65 wonderful years as sweethearts. Lois graduated from UCC in Corpus Christi TX and was a teacher in California before spending 31 years alongside Maurice on the mission field in Africa where they raised their 4 children and helped lead countless people to the Lord.

Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, teacher, and friend. She loved to play piano and entertain everyone with music and stories of her travels.

She is survived by her husband, Maurice Marrow of the home; sons, Rick Marrow and wife Melody of Baytown, TX,  David Marrow and wife Joy of Alvin, TX, and Jon Marrow and wife Vicki of McAlester, OK; daughter, Jeanette Nelson of Houston, TX; brother, David Venable and wife Jeanette of Glen Rose, TX; brothers-in-law, Albert Bray of Folsum, CA and Homer Lee Marrow of Heavener, OK; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-child; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ina Venable; brother, Alan Venable; and sisters, Sheri Venable, June Cathey, Jean Marrow, and Ian "Mimi" Bray.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at C. T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, December 18, 2020 at Cedar Lane Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Sweeny Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are David Marrow, R.T. Marrow, David Frisbee, Daniel Martinez, Craig Joplin, and Jeremy Ogea. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Marrow, David Marrow, and Jon Marrow.
