Luke Guidry, Sr.

Luke C. Guidry, Sr., 81, of West Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 7, 1939 in Freeport, Texas to Luke and Anabel Guidry.

Luke retired from Dow after 33 years. He was an avid wood carver and enjoyed traveling with his wife Myrna and their pups. Together they camped all the across the United States.

Luke is survived by his wife of 61 years, Myrna J. Guidry; son, Luke C. Guidry, Jr. and husband, Danny Pearson; daughter, Babette Richardson and husband, David Richardson; sisters, Edna Patterson, Betty Cleveland, and Barbra Lyle; and one grandson, Davis E. Richardson.

The family appreciates all the love and concern shown to Luke and the family by the staff of Visiting Angels and IPH Hospice. A special thank you to Paula Denise Hair. We will never forget the love and commitment she showed to Luke.

Due to the pandemic, there will be no services at this time. The family plans to celebrate Luke’s life at a later date.
