Maria Magdalena Longoria

Maria Magdalena (Magda) Longoria, 65, of West Columbia, TX passed away on December 26, 2024 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX. She was born to Ermila Gonzalez & Efren Perez in Weslaco, TX on November 7, 1959. Magda was married to Teodoro (Ted) Longoria for 45 years & had 3 children: Teodoro Jr (deceased), Clarissa & Cristina Longoria.

 She was a stay-at-home mom & homemaker for many years, but then was a Brazoria County employee for 25 years, 20 of which she worked at the Brazoria Library where she was well known & beloved in the community. Her many interests & talents included: gardening, reading, sewing, quilting, crochet & knitting, baking & other homesteading pursuits. 

Magda’s primary interest lay in her faith & relationship with Jehovah God, the study of His Word the Bible & her Christian ministry work. This faith is shared by her family & the assured promise of a coming resurrection as found in the Bible brings them comfort & strength at Magda’s sudden passing.

 The funeral service for Magda will be on Saturday January 18, 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on 1406 S. Columbia Drive, West Columbia, TX 77486
