Mark Wiggins

Mark Alan Wiggins, 58 of West Columbia, passed from this life Sunday, October 22, 2017 in Angleton, Texas. He was born on January 5, 1959 in Oakdale, Louisiana to Billy and Claudine (King) Wiggins. He was a graduate of Columbia High School, class of 1977. Mark worked in the automobile business from 1977 to 2002. From 1997 to 2002 he was the owner/manager of the Ford-Mercury dealership in West Columbia. He also worked in law enforcement for the West Columbia Police Department and Brazoria County Sheriff Department. Mark was a member of El Mina Shriners and a Mason where he achieved Royal Order of Jester. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, skiing, and horseback riding.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Angleton with B. F. Flowers and Dr. Rodney Bowman officiating. Visitation will be Friday, October 27, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia. Serving as pallbearers are Tommy Tucker, Jerry VanRompaey, Brady Combest, Charles Swanks, Greg Franks, Chris Phillips, and Louie Torres.

Mark is survived by his wife, Anna (Missy) Sharp; parents, Bill and Claudine Wiggins; brother, Jay Wiggins; step son, Jonathan and Bridgette Sharp; daughters, Heather Huber and Hannah Arlette; special aunt, Wanda Loe; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Claude and Malory King; and special uncle, Marvin Poda.
