Mary Ann Frazier

November 24, 1966 — July 15, 2025

On November 24, 1966 in Refugio, Texas a baby girl was born to Marion "Bubba" Whitmire and Laura Mae Whitmire whom they named Mary Ann Whitmire.

Mary Ann was reared and raised in Refugio, Texas where she attended public school; and graduated in the class of 1986. In her four years of high school, she was very active in sports. She played volleyball, basketball and track. In track, she participated throwing the discus and shot put. She was an all-around athlete and team player. Mary always looked out for her teammates and played each sport to win.

Mary met and married Wayne Anthony Frazier, Sr and to this union two children were born, La'Toya Sade Frazier and Wayne Anthony Frazier, Jr. Mary worked as a CNA at Refugio Manor and then furthered her education and became a licensed dietary supervisor. She was gainfully employed at Mission Ridge Skilled Nursing Facility as the Kitchen Supervisor until her health began to fail. Mary enjoyed cooking and baking. She spent countless hours in the kitchen both at work and at home. Her bread pudding was a special treat for the nursing home residents where she volunteered her time and energy helping the activity director. She also enjoyed sports and watching her soap operas. Her most favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends. Mary also had a nurturing Spirit and she cared for Jessiah Whitmire as her on.

She rededicated her life to Christ and became a member of Joy Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Joel Garcia.

On July 15, 2025 at about 6:36P in Victoria, Texas God dispatched his angels and Mary was carried into the arms of Jesus and now rest from her labor. Her kind and gentle Spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; aunt, JoAnn and cousins, Joyce and Herman (Buck) Gadsden.
