Melinda “Sue” McRae of West Columbia, Tx age 76, went home to be with the Lord on October4, 2025 in Webster, TX. Sue was born September 24,1949 to the late Robert and Yolanda Wixom in Fort Worth, TX. She was the second oldest of 4 sisters.
She was a woman with a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on and lots of love to give. She was a nurse for many years and had a natural instinct as a caregiver. She was a loved and very active with her church Bethel Presbyterian. On just about any given day, you would find her outside enjoying the day. She would be taking care of her beautiful flowers, gardening in her many gardens or just watching the birds, squirrels or butterflies. Sue also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sewing and cooking.
She was a devoted wife to David McRae. One of her biggest joys in life was her only son Eric Tribble and wife Kelly, along with grandsons Garret and Dustin.
In addition to her immediate family, she is also survived by her sisters Anita Reeves of Houston, Barbara Schoppe and husband Larry, Beth Swift both of Lake Jackson, Patrica Autenrieth and husband Randy of Canyon Lake, Tx. Along with a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and longtime friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday October 15th from 12:30 – 2:00 P.M. at C.T. Baker Funeral Home 634 S. Columbia Dr. West Columbia. Her funeral service will begin at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Paul Kucera officiating. Interment to follow at Brazoria Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Eric Tribble, Jeff Kitchen, Robbie Masters, John Wittbold, Craig Moore and Jamie Crouch. Honorary Pallbearers: Garret Tribble, Dustin Tribble, Rex Van Buren and Randy Autenrieth.
