Michael Rydman

Michael Arden Rydman, 68, of Sweeny, Texas died peacefully at home on February 20, 2021.

Michael is survived by his wife, Karen; mother, Louise; daughters, Indya and Rhesa; sons, Russell, Robert, and Ryan; son-in-law, Charles Sydnor; grandchildren, Isabell, Jordan, Grace, Mason, and Mylah; brother-in-law John Joice; niece, Stephanie; nephews, CJ, Brandon, and David; and great niece, Hailey.

Michael was born January 30, 1953 and grew up helping his mom in the family business, Powell Hardware. He graduated Jasper High School in 1971 and soon after moved to Houston and started working for Southwestern Bell. He retired as a project manager with AT&T after over 30 years of service.

Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, raising chickens, BBQ/grilling, camping, hiking, and spending time with his family.

Michael was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to all that knew him. He is loved by us all and will be greatly missed.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home.
