Nancy Anne Navasard

December 14, 1949 — July 18, 2025

Houston, TX

Nancy Anne Navasard, beloved mother, wife, and respected nurse (R.N.), passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on December 14, 1949, Nancy dedicated her life to nurturing others, first as a cherished family member and secondly through her professional career as a Labor & Delivery Nurse at Brazosport Memorial Hospital. Her commitment to caring for mothers and newborns was a testament to her compassionate nature, and her colleagues and patients alike held her in high regard.

Nancy graduated from the UTMB School of Nursing, which laid the groundwork for a fulfilling career that spanned many years. Her passion for her work was equaled only by her love for music; she enjoyed listening to her favorite artists, including The Beatles, Elton John, and Barry Manilow, often while savoring a cold Coke. This simple pleasure brought her joy and was a cherished memory shared by her family.

A proud member of the Mormon Church of the Latter Day Saints in Lake Jackson, Nancy found a sense of community and support within her faith. As a devoted member of the Women’s Relief Society, she engaged enthusiastically in the service and fellowship opportunities available to her, leaving an indelible mark on those she encountered.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Gipsy Navasard; her children: son Jason Navasard and his fiancée Lorin Neikirk of Huntsville, TX; daughter Jill Haro and her husband Albert of Clear Lake, TX; and son Paul Navasard and his wife Kelsey of Provo, UT. She was a proud grandmother to Joshua, Brooklyn, Michael, Michaela, Macey, Miles, Crew, and Ruby, who were a source of immense delight throughout her life. Additionally, Nancy is survived by her siblings: Jim Ogilvie (Jennifer), Candace Guthie (Steven), and Tom Ogilvie (Beverly).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilma Lee (Slaughter) and Charlie Reese Ogilvie, along with dear friends Roseann Smith and Vivian Sheppard, who will be remembered for their special place in her heart.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday July 26th from 12 - 1 PM at C.T. Baker Funeral Home 634 S. Columbia Dr. West Columbia. Her funeral service will begin at 1 PM. Interment to follow at Old Columbia Cemetery, West Columbia.

Nancy Anne Navasard will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her presence brought light and love to those around her, and her legacy will continue through the many lives she touched.
