Novella Patterson

Novella Dean Patterson, 93 of West Columbia, Texas passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Country Care Village in Angleton. She was born in Sublime, Texas to Will and Lula Kelly on March 11, 1924. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a homemaker, seamstress. She enjoyed couponing and could fix just about everything. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of West Columbia and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Graveside services will be held 11:00am, Monday, November 6, 2017 at Ebenezer Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas with Hollas Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Scott, Toby Scott, Dylan Patterson, Johnny Scott, Mark Hinton and James Kelley. Honorary pallbearers will be Rex Kelley, Carl Kelley, Ray Kelley, Kim Kelley, Al (Bervard) Brothers and Clyde Lee Hinton.

Novella is survived by her sons, Wayne Patterson; Bruce Patterson and wife, Rhonda; daughter, Brenda Landrum and husband, Rickey; brother, Steen Kelley of McKinney; sisters, Jean Ryther of Waco, Jeanette Parrott of Houston; grandchildren, Sasha Patterson, Angelia Jackson and Gina Scott and husband, Johnny; great-grandchildren, Travis Scott and wife, Kayla, Toby Scott and wife, Cheyanne, Reese McClain and Dylan Patterson and wife, Hannah, Devon Jackson and Desi Jackson; along with 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Reese, her son, Glenn, brothers, William (Bubba) Kelley, and James (Toby) Kelley.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Senior Citizens Center in West Columbia.
