Opal Dearing

On July 2, 2019 Louise Dearing of West Columbia left her family and friends to be with her beloved husband, W.D. Dearing. Louise was born to Henry and Sarah Lawson in Lufkin. She grew up there, went to Hudson Independent School where she met W.D. Dearing. They were married January 24, 1942.

Survivors include daughter, Brenda Ondras & husband, Joel; son, Loyd Dearing & wife, Kaylyn; sister, Doris Simms; brothers, J.D. Lawson, Jerry Lawson, Henry Lawson; grandchildren, Millicent Menze and Uri Ondras; great grandchildren, Alistair & Molly Menze and Elon & Nova Ondras. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Delmar Lawson.

Visitation will be Monday, July 8, 2019 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. There will be a private family graveside.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to her caregivers, friends and all who brought joy to her life.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Christian Senior Citizens Center, which she considered her second family.
