Pete Vega, Sr.

Pete Vega Sr., 60 of Damon, passed away surrounded by his loving family Thursday, July 20, 2017. He was born on September 12, 1956 in Damon, Texas to Raymond and Victoria (Contreras) Vega.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am Monday, July 24, 2017 at Creekside Christian Fellowship with Greg Garcia officiating. Burial will follow at Yelderman Cemetery in Damon. Serving as pallbearers are Andy Guajardo, Jeremy Miller, Brandon Miller, Adam Eversole, Burlin Eversole, Chris Vega, Manuel Vega, and Danny Vega. Honorary pallbearers are William Eversole and Salvador Vega.

Pete is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Denise Deiss Vega; daughter, Patsy Jakubec and husband, Greg; son, Pete Vega, Jr. and wife, Kristi; granddaughters, Kylie and Kyndal Vega and Kaylin Jakubec; grandsons, Kaden Jakubec and Ethan Vega along with brothers, sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father; mother; sister, Mary Bertrand; brothers, Phillip Vega, Lupe Vega, Manuel Vega, Raymond Vega Jr., and Fidel Contreras.
