Rhonda Bienek

Rhonda Lynn Mikeska Bienek, 62, of Needville, passed away on June 11, 2017 lovingly surrounded by her family. She was born on September 21, 1954 in Richmond, Texas to Leo and Helen Mikeska of Damon.

Rhonda grew up in Damon and attended Needville ISD where she graduated high school in 1973. She then went on to pursue the career that she was made for, nursing. Rhonda graduated with a nursing degree from Texas Women's University and began working as a labor and delivery nurse at Southwest Memorial Hospital. Some of her fondest memories of her nursing career were helping bring so many babies into this world. After many years at the hospital, Rhonda began working for the physicians at Southwest OB/Gyn and Associates. Later, she followed in her mother's footsteps as a nurse for Needville ISD, where she recently retired. Rhonda touched many lives as a nurse and had a special place in her heart for her patients and students. Rhonda was passionate about gardening, had an undying love for the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, but most of all she lived for sharing time with her grandkids.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Helen Mikeska of Damon, Texas.
Left to cherish her memory include her children, son Chris Bienek & wife Marisa of Needville, daughter Rian Vaughan & husband Russell of League City, son Kyle Bienek & wife Ashlie of Needville; sisters Janice Teykl & husband Kim of Needville, and Jennifer Wieghat & husband Timmy of Damon; grandchildren Hunter and Hallie Bienek, Marley Vaughan, Kelsie Zwahr and Rylie Bienek; special friend Dennis Vacek; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Funeral services will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville, Texas at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 15, 2017. Burial will follow at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Cemetery in Damon, Texas. Visitation will be at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 6-8 pm.

Pallbearers will be Chance Wieghat, Cord Wieghat, Klayton Teykl, Chantz Klemstein, Tony Rothman, Timmy Wieghat and Kim Teykl.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Rhonda's only grandson, Hunter Bienek.
