Robert Myron DeMarco age 85 passed away on May 15, 2026 in Houston. Bob was born in Crookston Minnesota on May 3, 1941. Bob spent most of his life in Sweeny Texas where he built a life full of family, friends, hard work and dedication. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Robert retired from Dow after 32 years. He stayed home for awhile and said nope this is not for me. He then went to work at Stewarts grocery where he retired after 18 years. On September 3, 1965 he married the love of his life Ruth DeMarco. Together they shared 60 years of love, devotion and family. Robert will be remembered for his kindness, quiet strength, and the love he shared with those around him. He touched many lives with his warm spirit and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth DeMarco; his sons, Scott DeMarco and Joshua DeMarco(Kim); his daughter, Michelle Baker (Paul); and his cherished grandchildren, Lorissa Bostrom (Andrew), Kirby Smith (Austin), Seth Jochum, Kinsley DeMarco and Paycen DeMarco. Great grandchildren Bran Bostrom, Phoebe Bostrom and Walker Smith. Nieces Jennifer Pace ( Craig), Jamie Pace ( Jonathon), and Sara Vernon ( Zach). Sister Yvonne Cooper, her children Karen Kavanaugh , Jonathan and Nathan Cooper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Joseph DeMarco and Deborah DeMarco Hanson (Kurt Hanson); his in-laws, J.D. and Bessie Pace; son-in-law James Jochum; sisters-in-law Mary Pace and Frances Mosely; and brothers-in-law Loyed Pace and Roger Cooper Those who knew Bob best will remember his kindness, love of family, and strong work ethic.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 22, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at C.T. Baker Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 23, at 2:00 p.m. at C.T. Baker Funeral Home with Coach Doug Warren officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Peter Raynor, Neal Bledsoe, Randall Coleman, Paul Coleman, Rusty McMillan, Craig Durbin, David McQuinn, Rueben Meyer, Willie Meyer, Larry Alexander, Andrew Bostrom and Dwain Stewart. Robert's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
