Roger Holcomb

Roger Holcomb, 77, of Sweeny, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 13, 2022, peacefully at his home. Roger was born March 26, 1944, in Clay County, West Virginia to the late Charles and Lucille Holcomb.

Roger attended school in Fola and then joined the Unites States Army. He married his wife of 52 years, Wanda, in 1969 and they moved to Sweeny in 1970.

Roger never met a stranger and loved to talk. He loved to hunt and fish and later in life, he enjoyed watching his four grandsons play baseball. He was a longtime employee of the Phillips 66 Refinery in Sweeny.

Roger was preceded in death by his father Charles, mother Lucille, older brother Frank, and stepfather Junior Mullins.

He is survived by his loving wife Wanda Holcomb; son Jeff Holcomb and wife Tami; daughter Christina Richardson and husband James; brothers Carl, Warren, and Michael; sisters Karen, Dawn, Nada, and Dale; grandchildren Logan, Caleb, Nicholas, Matthew and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Per Roger’s request, he will be cremated and there will be no services. He wanted all that knew him to only remember the good times that they shared together.
