Rosemary Vickery Fogle passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on September 13, 2026. She was born on January 15, 1934, to Elmer and Florence Vickery, in Theodore, Alabama. Rosemary, or Mae, as many knew her, was the seventh of seven children who all moved to Danbury, Texas around 1935. The Vickery family were active members of the First Presbyterian Church in Angleton, Texas. Rosemary lost both parents to a car accident while a young teenager. She and her siblings pulled together and were nurtured by their church family, led by Reverend P. P. “Pappy” Dawson and his wife MeeMee. Rosemary graduated from Danbury High School, attended a semester at the University of Houston, then joined the United States Navy in 1953. Shortly thereafter, she met her love of her life, Albert “Sonny” Fogle, while visiting her sister Mildred in West Columbia. Sonny was home on leave from the Navy, and Mildred encouraged Mae to go meet him. She did and the rest is history. They were married in Norfolk, Virginia, on June 18, 1954.

They returned to Brazoria County and made their home in Angleton, Texas. They had two children, Douglas and Gail.

Rosemary was very active in the church, girl scouts, and worked as the high school registrar for several years.

Rosemary was always bold and passionate about everything that touched her faith and her family.

She is survived by her son, Douglas Fogle (Allison), her daughter, Gail Fogle, her grandson, Todd Fogle (Christina), granddaughter, Jennifer Hawke, granddaughter-in-law, Chelsea Fogle (Andrew Zetts), great grandchildren, Barrett Fogle, Evelyn Fogle, Townsend Fogle, Everess Zetts, Drew Zetts, and Jack Zetts. She also held her many nieces and nephews very dear to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Florence Vickery, her husband Albert “Sonny” Fogle, grandson, Ryan Fogle, her siblings, Mildred Laughlin (Dean), Chester Vickery, Albert Vickery (Geri), Louise Holmes (Wes), Francis “Bubba” Vickery (Lillie), and Bettie Schlitzkus (Henry).
