Sally Velazquez

Sally Velazquez, 53 of Brazoria, Texas passed away in Houston on Friday, June 30, 2017 surrounded by her loving family and friends after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 31, 1963 in Lubbock Texas to Albert and Erma Ramos.

Services will include the visitation on Friday evening July 7, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with the Rosary recited at 7:00pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 8,2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Brazoria with Father Tim Pham officiating beginning at 10:00am. Serving as pallbearers will be Rene Ramos, Ricky Ramos Jr., Juan Antonio Velazquez, Gilbert Beltran, Jose Velazquez, and Juan Antonio Velazquez Jr.

Sally is survived by her Husband of 36 years Noel Velazquez, her Mother Erma Ramos, her loving Son Gerardo Mata Jr. and wife Amanda Mata, her loving daughters Brandy Atkinson and Husband Gary Atkinson, Ami Flores, and Adriana Velazquez, her brothers Ricky Ramos and Eddie Ramos, and sister Cindy Ramos, long time close family friend Jose Espinoza, and her grandchildren Jasmine, Kenton, Alexis, Naomi, Neveah, Liam, Taylor, Peyton, Mariah, Natalie, and Joshua along with numerous nephews and nieces. She will be remembered by her huge family and countless of friends.

Sally cannot be defined by one act or a single phrase because her countless acts of kindness and compassion were felt by all. Sally even carried that love and passion to her horses and dogs. No matter what she was going through she was always ready for the next trip or adventure and kept us all on our toes. She was our rock that laid the foundation for this family. You could always count on her gatherings to have great food, great music, tons of laughs, but most of all brought family and friends together with lots of love. Her love and devotion to family will always be remembered but her unyielding strength and zest for life will be forever etched in our hearts.
