Sarah Turvey

Sarah Jane Turvey, 58 of West Columbia passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Tuesday November 1st, 2022 at her home.  Sarah was born on May 31, 1964 in Deming, New Mexico to Bob and Barbara Waldrop. She grew up on her parents farm in Deming with her siblings.  After high school she Married Jim Auer and moved to Shelby, Ohio.   During this time she had her only child, a son, Chad J. Auer of Ashland, Ohio, shortly after they divorced . She then attended North Central State College and got her LPN in nursing and later on getting her RN and bachelors degree. While living in Ashland she worked for several years at The Brethren Care Village, as well as The Foundations For Living in Mansfield Ohio, prior to moving to Florence, KY and then to her last home in West Columbia, TX. Sarah enjoyed making homemade bread and creating handmade jewelry as a hobby . She also loved being outdoors and had a longtime love for horses. Sarah was strong, brave and compassionate as well as a little stubborn. She loved her family, friends and her patients; always looked after everyone. She will be missed by many.

Sarah is survived by her son Chad (Megan) Auer of Ashland, OH;  five grandchildren Julia, Baylee, Dylan, Jaxson and Grant Auer of Ashland, OH, as well as a soon to be great-granddaughter Ariella Ripley; two brothers Everett (Eleanor) Waldrop of Casa Grande, AZ, Brian (Maria) Waldrop of Animas, NM; one sister Karen Waldrop of West Columbia, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents and two siblings Leah Brown and Richard Waldrop.

In addition to services in West Columbia, TX, a celebration of life will be held in Ashland, OH at a later time.
