On February 3, 1975 in Sinton, Texas a baby girl was born to Cornell Morgan Tilley and Shelia Diane Gipson Tilley whom they named Shanell Donna Tilley. She was affectionately known to family as POOH.
Shanell was reared in Refugio, Texas where she attended public school. She loved reading, fishing and rock and roll music. She was family oriented and enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and siblings. Those who knew her understood that her heart was giant. The love that was shown from Shanell to others was immeasurable. She had a pleasant smile that could light up any room. Shanell always made you feel present whenever you were in her presence. Family gatherings were her favorite. Her assignment from family was always to make her infamous potato salad. Her kind and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved. Her witty way will never be forgotten.
Preceding Shanell in death are her parents, maternal grandfather, Clyde C Gipson; paternal grandmother, Christine Tilley; great grandparents, Gladys and Jospeh Bess; two uncles and three aunts
Left to cherish her precious memory are, two daughters, Shaylan D Brown of Victoria and Shaylia D Tilley of Refugio; three grandchildren, Brennan Hernandez, Sylas and Skylan Torres; two brothers, Cornell M Tilley (Carroll) of Victoria and Christopher M Tilley (Destiny) of Refugio; two sisters, Shelia D Tilley (Todd) of Victoria and Stephenie Castillo (Ryan) of Refugio; a special friend, Michael Vega of Woodsboro; four nephews, two nieces, five aunts and one uncle as well as other relatives and many friends.
