Sheila Price

Sheila Darlene Lacina Price gained her angel wings as she was called to Heaven on Friday, February 19, 2021 at the age of 74.

She was born on September 15, 1946 in West Columbia, Texas to Louis Lacina Sr. and Jewel Blanche Lacina (Kilsby).  She grew up in the West Columbia / Sweeny area and attended Columbia-Brazoria schools.  She lived a full life as a devoted wife, a wonderful mother and devout Christian.  She was especially known and cherished as GRANNY.  She loved everyone no matter if blood relation or not.  She never met a stranger.  She loved reading, sewing, going on the occasional trip to the casino in Louisiana, and she loved scratching her lottery tickets.  She was a superb cook and some of her best dishes were the Taco salad with Catalina dressing, her fried chicken, tuna fish, homemade potato salad from scratch, and her family recipe coconut-pineapple cake.  She sure could fling a fishing pole and loved going fishing with anyone, anywhere.  She taught us that you cannot keep them all and how to tie a special ‘’Granny-knot.”  No cup of sweet cream coffee will ever be the same without her to sit and gossip over with it.  Of all her blessings she was most proud of her huge circle of friends and family.  She touched and left her signature on a lot of lives.  She spent her life caring for her family that she loved dearly.  She did not have much but considered herself wealthy because she had a big family to call hers.  If anything, good or bad came her way, she always welcomed it with open arms and beautiful smile.  She never turned you away.  She had a strong Christian faith.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Lauri Bosarge and son in law Clarence “Bubba” Bosarge, her son Shane McCain and daughter in law Jodi McCain.  Her brothers Louis Lacina Jr and Glyn Lacina.  Her grandchildren Curtiss Berry (Jakie), Amanda Dickerson (Michael), Jessica Gregurek (Jayson), Robby McCain (Victoria), Breanna McCain, Shawn Bosarge (Laiken), Michael Bosarge (Felicia), and Josh Bosarge (Brianna).   Great grandchildren Hardy Quisenberry, Kaylei Berry, Jimmy “Juno” McKnight, Hunter McKnight, Clayton Berry, Connor Gregurek, Dakota Gregurek, Kyler Clark and Baby Harper Gregurek.  Nieces: Paige Krebs, Kim Reynolds, Holly Romero, Misty Harris, and Heather Lacina.  Nephew: Charles Wayne Lacina.

She is preceded in death by her parents Louis “PawPaw” Lacina Sr And Jewel “Nanny” Blanche Lacina (Kilsby).  Her infant sister Alberta Clairece Lacina.  Her husband Wayne “Pops” Price.  Her son in law Randall Berry.

Pallbearers will be Shane McCain, Robby McCain, Curtiss Berry, Hardy Quisenberry, Jayson Gregurek and Joshua Bosarge.

Honorary pallbearers are her brothers: Louis Lacina Jr and Glyn Lacina.  And great grandsons: Jimmy “Juno” McKnight, Hunter McKnight, Clayton Berry, and Connor Gregurek.

A visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 5-7 pm at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia, Texas.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia, Texas.

Interment will follow in Old West Columbia Cemetery.  Followed by reception services @ Van Vleck Civic Center.
