Sherry Bolton

Sherry Lynn Bolton, 73, of Lake Jackson, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021, in Humble, TX. where she often stayed at her 2nd home in order to be close to her daughter, son-in-law and 2 of her grandsons. She was born September 21, 1948, in Alvin, Texas to the late Gloria (O’Connell) and Richard Eernisse.

Sherry graduated from Columbia High School and then attended Stephen F. Austin State University. She worked for Phillips 66 for many years, ultimately retiring after making a strong impact there, as well as many lifelong friends.  She also loved spending time with her family and taking family vacations all over the world, including cruises with her parents, sisters and their spouses.  ‘Mimi’ especially loved spending time with and traveling with her 8 grandsons…whom she adored.  They traveled to the Bahamas, Cozumel, Colorado, Alaska, Canada, Cabo and many other places.  When she wasn’t working or traveling, Sherry loved to decorate.  She really loved decorating for the holidays.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Richard & Gloria Eernisse; son, Chris Lewis and her sister-in-law, Karen Bolton Grant.

Sherry is survived by her husband, William Barry Bolton; children, Andrea Ramirez & husband Lee, Laura Sepulveda & husband Carlos, Jason Bolton & wife Leanne; grandsons, Michael Lewis, Cameron Lewis, Levi Ramirez, Lincoln Ramirez, Caden Bolton, Connor Bolton, Carlos Sepulveda, and Mateo Sepulveda; sisters, Charlotte Nugent & husband Kenneth, Beverly Stanford & husband Randy as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

A celebration of Sherry’s life will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Columbia United Methodist Church, 315 S. 16th Street, West Columbia, Texas, with Rev. Paul Kethley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to the charity of your choice.
