Shirley Ann Areson, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away September 29,2024, in Brazoria, Texas. Born on September 4, 1939, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Shirley's journey through life was marked by kindness and love, qualities that enriched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Shirley dedicated much of her life to her family and her as the owner of A&S Pest Control, where she served the residents of Brazoria County with unwavering commitment since 1984. Her business was not just a source of livelihood; it reflected her industrious spirit and desire to help her community thrive.

A person of deep compassion, she actively volunteered at Brazosport Hospital, offering her support to those in need. As a member of Saint Joseph's Alter Society, Shirley’s devotion to helping others emphasized her generous heart, which touched many lives. Her love for her family was evident in every moment she spent with them, always making time for her sister—Linda McKnight-Miller, daughters—Sherry Ramirez, Torey Noak (and her husband Destin), Stacy Rickerd (and her husband Earl), and Toni Miriles (and her husband Manny). Each daughter cherished their unique bond with her, filled with memories of laughter, guidance, and unwavering support.

Shirley is also survived by her proud grandsons: Eric Ramirez, Kyle Fox, Erin Ramirez, William Reeder, and Michael Reeder, along with her lovely granddaughters: Katie Duplechin, Erica Ramirez, Kaysie Riley, Kelsey Keeler, and Kristin Rickerd. With an astounding 17 great-grandchildren, Shirley's legacy of love continues to flourish within her family tree, which she nurtured with exceptional care and devotion.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Areson, who was her partner in life for 54 years and in love for 68. Additionally, she is reunited in spirit with her parents, Aden L. Boyd and Pearl A. Deller Boyd, as well as her siblings, Aden L. (Buddy) Boyd Jr., Ada Marie Payne, and Jerry Boyd, as well as her son-in-law, Domingo "Sike" Ramirez.

Shirley Ann Areson's journey through life was characterized by resilience, love, and a deep commitment to helping those around her. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide her family, ensuring that the warmth she brought into their lives never fades. She will be profoundly missed, yet forever remembered in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

In the days ahead, family and friends will gather to honor her beautiful life. Visitation will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Brazoria on October 3, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Service will take place the following day at the same location, beginning at 10:00 AM and concluding at 11:00 AM.
