Shirley Christine Perkins

Shirley Christine Perkins, 73, was born on February 16, 1951, to Marion and Ola Mae Cravens. She was born in Cornerstone, Arkansas. She met the love of her life in November 1978, and they were married on February 1, 1982. She loved raising her 5 children and attending their sports events, riding motorcycles, and attending church every change she could. As much as she loved her husband & family, she put her Lord and Savior first. The only job se loved more than being a wife & mother was being a Grams to her 14 grandchildren, & 4 great-grandchildren.

Anyone who knew her knew she would be proud of her family and that she loved each and every one of them.

The sound of her cheering, the warmth of her hugs, her spitfire personality & the confidence she instilled with her wisdom will be sorely missed on this side of heaven. Her spirit will live on in us all.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Marion and Ola Mae Cravens, son Thomas Scott Griffin, daughter Sherry Gaddis, grandson Cody Perkins, brothers Bill Cravens and Danny Johnson, sister Angela Kelly.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years Rick Perkins of Kaufman, Tx, daughter Angie Triplett and husband Joey of Corsicana Tx, son’s Jason Griffin of West Columbia Tx, Craig Perkins and wife Kimberly of Quinlan Tx, and Rick Allen Perkins and wife Stephanie of Mesquite, Tx, brothers Joe Cravens of North Carolina and David Johnson and wife Joan of Conroe Tx, 14 grandchildren Tyler Perkins, Haley Erickson and husband Ryan, Cole Griffin, Briana Triplett, Ty Griffin, Caden Perkins, Xain Perkins, Zack Perkins, Zoie Perkins, Mackenzie and Siara Figueroa, Nicholas and Malaki Figueroa. 4 great-grandchildren Elena Fuqua, Freya Erickson, Kaden Aguilar and Kobe Elder.

The Perkins family would like to give a special thank you to Brittany Cravalah from Centric Home Health and Hospice for her excellent care and compassion during one of the hardest times.

A graveside service will be on April 6^th, 2024, at 2:00 pm and held at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest Cemetery in West Columbia Tx.
