Tom Nesrsta

Tom Nesrsta went to be with his Lord & Savior on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.  He was 64 years of age.  Tom spent his early years in San Antonio and graduated from Texas A&M in 1980.  After graduation, he married Sheree Christian & moved to West Columbia, where he taught and coached football.

After several years teaching and coaching, he joined his father-in-law, partnering with and managing various businesses.  He then moved on to State Farm Insurance where he was a Team Manager in claims for 25 years. He retired in 2018.

Tom enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching Texas A&M and his beloved Dallas Cowboys. He loved to read and watch the history channel, as well as spend time with his two grandgirls and enjoyed being on Lake LBJ.

Tom is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Junek Rochester, and by his father Frank Nesrsta.

He is survived by his wife, Sheree, son Billy Wayne and daughter-in-law Katie, two granddaughters, Chandler and Charlee, sister Terry and brother-in-law Jack Hall and mother-in-law Laveta Christian.

Honorary pallbearers: Bobby Fielden, Jack Hall, Jeffrey Fralix, Andy Nesrsta, Tom Ashley, and Blake Nesrsta.

Tom’s memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2022, at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia, with Pastor John Price officiating.
