Tracy Lynn Womack, 55, of El Campo, Texas passed away suddenly on Monday, September 13, 2021, in Palacios, Texas. He was born August 21, 1966, in Newgulf, Texas to the late Alma Louise (Buchanan) and Nath Crockett Womack.

Tracy graduated from Sweeny High School in 1984 where he played offensive and defensive tackle for the Sweeny Bulldogs.  He was named to the All-County Football Team and helped propel Sweeny to the State Championships.  Tracy then went on to Angelina Junior College on a football scholarship. Later, he received his U.S. Merchant Marine License and worked as a Tankerman for Hollywood Marine.  Following in the footsteps of an older brother, Tracy enlisted in the United States Army becoming a Combat Medic and serving overseas in Germany, and then Fort Sam Houston, Texas.  Tracy was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, and the Army Achievement Medal.  After completing 4 years in the Army and earning the rank of Specialist, Tracy received an Honorable discharge.  Eventually he would settle in El Campo, Texas working as an Over the Road Truck Driver crisscrossing Texas and the rest of the United States.  When not working, Tracy enjoyed visiting friends, working on his home and was always busy with new projects.

Tracy was a Charter member of the Sweeny Church of the Nazarene and a firm believer in the power of prayer.  He loved life, had a kind and gentle soul, and was adored by his family and friends. He will truly be missed.

Tracy is survived by his sisters Patricia Womack, Nadine Womack, and Mary Beth Emberland; brothers Nath Crockett Womack Jr, Richard Glenn Womack (wife Susana), and Ralph Womack (wife Jolie); numerous nieces, nephews, and a great niece.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2021, at C. T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at the First United Methodist Church of Lake Jackson, 404 Azalea St., Lake Jackson, Texas with Dr. Lynne Settlemyre officiating. Interment will follow in Brazoria Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Richard Glenn Womack, Ralph Womack, Nath Womack III, Richard Womack Jr, Elijah Womack, and Timmy York. Honorary pallbearers will be Nath Womack Jr and Gabriel Serbin.
