Viola Marie Walker went to be with the Lord at the age of 82 on July 2. 2025, in Webster, Texas. She was born in Bay City, Texas on June 3, 1943, to Houston Leroy Sisson and Fannie Lee (Plant) Sisson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David Leroy Henderson; her daughter, Pamela Sue Duckworth Davis; sisters Wanda Deloach and Linda Burns; brother, Houston Leroy Sisson, Jr. and his wife Vivian Cox Sisson; and sister-in-law, Deborah Timmons Sisson (wife of Danny Sisson).

Survivors include; daughters Terri L Newsom of Sweeny, Diana Crocker and husband Dennis of West Columbia, Jennifer L Carter and husband John of Sweeny: son Gary D Walker, Jr of Sweeny.

She was lovingly called "Grandma" by her grandchildren, Darla Munkelwitz and husband Phil of Florida, John Sanchez, Jr. of Oregon, Lewis Sanchez and wife Juana of Texas, Ryan Sanchez and wife Ashley of Florida, Benjamin Newsom of Texas, April Carter of Texas, Glenn Carter of Texas, and Alyssa Mendez and husband Cyle of Texas; great grandchildren: Sydney, Taylor, Ruby, Ana, Valeria, Michael, Mylah, Naveah, Helaina, Maliyah, and one more on the way (Rylan).

She is also survived by her sisters Alberta Teague and husband Bill of Richwood, Babara Pyle and husband Terry of Bastrop, Fannie Lee Cossin and husband Jake of Wild Peach; brothers Harold R Sisson and wife Cathy Richtor Sisson of Brazoria, Ronald Sisson and wife Gaynell Roberts Sisson of Wild Peach, Danny Sisson of Brazoria, and brother in law Kenneth Burns: many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Viola loved watching movies. piecing together puzzles, and never passed up a good word search. She was an avid reader and found joy in quiet. thoughtful moments. Before her health declined, she attended Full Gospel Lighthouse, where she found strength and comfort in her faith.

Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia, Texas.

A memorial service will be held with immediate family at a later date.
