Walter Hoffman

Walter Martin Hoffman, 89 of Lake Jackson, passed from this life on January 9, 2018. He was born on August 31, 1928 in San Antonio, Texas to Walter Gustov and Ethel Stella (Oehler) Hoffman. After high school he earned his Bachelor's Degree from Rice University in 1950. He was a Dow employee for 39 years.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church in Angleton with Pastor Pete Lopez officiating. Burial will follow at Brazoria Cemetery at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home in Brazoria. Serving as pallbearers are Josef Hoffman, Christopher Cummins, Connor Scott, Jeremy Scott, Wes Leopold, Jeff Stanley, and Jack Stanley.
Walter is survived by his son, Grant Hoffman and wife, Gail; daughter, Cindy Cummins and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Josef Hoffman and wife, Jennifer; Amber Leopold and husband, Wes; Carrie Scott and husband, Jeremy; and Christopher Cummins; along with great-grandchildren, Ella and Ava Hoffman and Connor, Cannon, and Ryder Scott.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Imogene Hoffman; and brother, Roy Hoffman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walter's name to St. John Lutheran Church 2227 N. Downing Road Angleton, Texas 77515.
