Wilbur Kirkpatrick

October 22, 1940 — January 11, 2026

Wilbur Lee “Bill” Kirkpatrick, 85, of Brazoria went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 11, 2026 surrounded by his family.

Born on October 22, 1940, in Alvin, Texas to father Toby Ross and mother Rena Meyning Kirkpatrick.

“Bill” attended school in Louisiana and was a graduate of Lafayette High School in 1958

In 1962 Bill married the love of his life Faye Turk. They spent a short tenure in Louisiana until they moved back to Texas in 1964. Bill was an ironworker by trade. He worked in that industry from 1965 until retirement in 1996. He enjoyed many years with Local 84.

Bill and Faye purchased Kirks Handy Way and sold that business in 2000. Bill was really a Jack of all trades and enjoyed training and excelling at each position he worked. Some of his many positions he mastered were surprisingly not what you’d expect from Bill. Just to list a few, he was a blackjack dealer on a casino boat. He held a security job. He worked with Danford Maintenance where he enjoyed many friendships. His most joy filled job was working alongside his best friend and buddy at J Bar B Ranch. Bill and Morris Crabtree were known to be involved in many antics and likely had to be pulled out of more mud holes than he mowed around. Bill loved being outside and enjoyed the cattle and mowing, bailing hay or just hanging out he really enjoyed being with Morris and outdoors.

Bill proudly served in the Brazoria Lodge # 327. He was Worshipful Master of Brazoria Lodge # 327 from 1999-2000. He was also District Deputy in 2020. Bill forged many friendships throughout his tenure and proudly served in whatever capacity he was called.

With all his jobs that Bill mastered; perhaps his most accomplished job was that of Faye’s husband father to his four children; Angel, Kim, Missy and Toby. The rewards of being their daddy far outnumbered any accomplishments he earned prior to earning the title “Daddy”

Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Faye Turk Kirkpatrick; his four devoted children, Angel Hodges (Andy), Kim Yearout (N.J.), Melissa Brigance (Kevin) and Toby Kirkpatrick (Chris) All of Brazoria; brother, Jerry Kirkpatrick of Rapid City, SD; grandchildren, Casey, Elizabeth, Jacob, Josh, Amanda, Dallas, Christopher, James and John; ten great grandchildren; sisters in law, Martha Gaas, Myra Russell, Bell Jowell (William) and Brenda Thornton (Butch); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bill is preceded in death by parents: Toby and Rena Kirkpatrick, Gus and Dollie Turk, granddaughter Cheyenne Kirkpatrick; family members:  David and Patsy Kirkpatrick, Carl Kirkpatrick, Alvin, Dora and Debra Picha, Harold and Marlin Jones, JD Gaas, Charles and Eunice Hagen, Dennis Russell, Bob Bonner, Jay Jowell; and best friend Morris Crabtree and will be greeting him at the gates of Glory.

Special thanks to Enhabit care team and Rylie Miller for always being there when he needed anything.

The Brothers of the Masonic Lodge 327 will serve as pallbearers.
