William Louis Nawara, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Needville, Texas on October 17,2025; at the age of 59 surrounded by his loving family.
Born on January 14, 1966, in Richmond, Texas, William became a passionate trade mechanic. He dedicated 40 years to honing his craft. For nearly 2 decades, he proudly worked at the WA Parish plant in Richmond, Texas, where his skill, determination, and work ethic left a lasting impact on those he worked alongside. Known far and wide for his exceptional ability to fix anything, he was always willing to lend a hand to others, often putting their needs before his own. His generosity and kindness made him a great neighbor and friend in his community, and his warm and kind spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Outside of work, William found peace and happiness by tinkering in his shop, going camping with his family, and watching the dirt track races. These moments outside filled him with a sense of freedom and connection that he treasured.
William’s dedication to his family was unmatched. He often stated that his proudest accomplishment was his family. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Nawara, and mother Lillian Nawara. He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Carla (Schlueter) Nawara, as well as his daughters, Kathleen and Britney Nawara who brought him immeasurable joy. He also leaves behind his brother, Kenneth Nawara of Guy, Texas and his sister Debra Priddy, of Needville, Texas, along with several nephews. He also leaves behind his loving dog, Dutton, a companion he had dreamed of having since he was a teenager and was fortunate to welcome into his life in his later years. The good times spent together will be cherished always by those who knew and loved him.
Throughout his health challenges, he remained remarkably strong and gracious. Never one to complain, he faced every challenge with quiet resilience and unwavering courage. His perseverance was a testament to his character; meeting adversity not with bitterness, but with dignity and grace. Those who cared for him were continuously inspired by his patience, his gentle spirit, and his ability to find light even in the darkest moments.
