Winnie Gorden

Winnie Faye White Gorden, 77 of West Columbia, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, May 15, 2018. She was born on September 5, 1940 in Three Rivers, Texas to Floyd and Monnie (Wood) White. Winnie married the love of her life, Joe Gorden on February 10, 1996. She was a strong woman. Winnie loved cooking with her husband and taught him many recipes. She enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening, playing games such as cards, dominoes, and bunco, and enjoyed shopping but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, May 21, 2018 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with Bro. Ryan Lintelman officiating. The family will be receiving friends 1:00 pm until service time. Burial will take place 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Simmons Cemetery in Simmons, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Gary, Steve, Roy, Ethan, Cory, Daniel, and Kaisen.

Winnie is survived by her loving husband, Joe Gorden; sons, Gary Troxlar and wife, Debbie, Steve Troxlar and wife, Tami, and Roy Troxlar, Jr. and wife, Wendy; daughters, Cindy Lynn Stine, Cynthia Wilhite and husband, Joey, and Denise Pierce; sister, Dorothy Fischer; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, D. J., Paul, and Charlie White; brother-in-law, Ray Fischer; and special aunt and uncle, Lucille and Slim.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Winnie's name to a children's ministry of your choice.
