Glenford Strother

February 16, 1943 ~ February 23, 2021 (age 78)

Obituary

Glenford Strother, 78, of Angleton, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 surrounded by his family. Glenford was born on February 16, 1943 in Elizabeth, Louisiana to Daisy (Barbry) and Babe Strother.

His family moved to Brazoria, Texas in 1945 where Glenford attended Columbia High School. After high school, he went to work as a pipefitter in the local chemistry industry, where he loved to cook for the crew.

He is proud of his Native American heritage as a member of the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Marksville, Louisiana where he moved back to work for the tribe as a Gaming Inspector.

Upon retirement, he moved back to Texas and resided in Angleton, where he passed in the comfort of his home.  We are comforted in knowing he is with his Lord and Savior.

Glenford enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and had a love for gardening.

He is survived by his children:  Charles Strother (Pam) of Brazoria; James Strother (Shelia) of Brazoria, Sharon Strother Parks (CDR Jeff Parks, USN) of Chesapeake, Virginia and Rhonda Strother Clark (Will) of Angleton; stepson John Murawski of Seabrook; his love, Marjorie Strother of Angleton; his nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Babe Strother and Daisy Barbry Strother; sisters Eleanor Strother Stuckey, Cemonia Strother Williams and Jimmie Strother Reynolds; brothers Walter, Earby, Cleamen, and Allen Strother.
