Weldon W. "Skipper" Foreman Jr., 76, of West Columbia, Texas was called home by the Lord on Friday, January 7, 2022, in West Columbia, Texas. Skipper was born to Weldon and Lucile Foreman in West Columbia on September 2, 1945.
He graduated from Columbia High School where he excelled in academics as well as football. He then attended Brazosport College to become an electrician. He was employed many years at Gulf States before retiring as an electrician from Phillips 66.
During this time, he married his former wife, Barbara Sophia, and became the father of two children, Anthony Dewayne Foreman and Jeanna Lucile Foreman. He was a lover of hunting, football, especially college ball, and Nascar.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Weldon and Lucile Foreman, his sister Martha Bell, and his son Anthony Dewayne "Tony" Foreman.
He leaves behind daughter, Jeanna Small and husband Steven of West Columbia, sister Jackie Walker and husband Scott, of Sweeny, granddaughters Amber Foreman of Houston, Kayla Galbreath, Kyndall Stark and Nicole Small of West Columbia, and great grandchildren Natalie Hernandez of Houston, Jackie Shotts and Judd Stark of West Columbia, and longtime caregiver Christina Gomez, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Craig Rhodes, Cory Rhodes, Jeffrey Dodds, Bryan Dodds, Kyle Baker, and Scott Walker.
Graveside services and interment will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest Cemetery in West Columbia, with Rev. Jim Morgan officiating.
